Mayflower Group Announces Key Board Changes Following Annual General Meeting

The Mayflower Group is pleased to announce significant changes to its Board following the Annual General Meeting held on October 30.

Anthony Mutton, the outgoing Mayflower Chair, will step down from the position effective December 31, 2023, while continuing to serve as a valued member of the Board. Mary-Jane Stolp, a current Board member with extensive experience, has been appointed as his successor and will officially assume the role of Chair on January 1, 2024.

Mary-Jane, who has been an integral part of the Mayflower Board since 2020 and currently serves as the Chair of the Quality and Clinical Governance Committee, brings more than 28 years of CEO experience in clinical governance, quality, strategy, and risk management to her new role. Commenting on her appointment, Mary-Jane expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "I am honoured to take on the role of Chair and extend my sincere appreciation to Anthony Mutton for his dedicated service."

Other noteworthy changes to the Mayflower Board include the resignation of Valentino Marinelli, a longstanding member since 2015. The Board acknowledges and thanks Valentino for his significant contributions as both a general Board member and Chair of the Finance, Audit, and Risk Committee. Tony Tenaglia, a current Board member, will now assume the role of Chair of the Finance, Audit, and Risk Committee.

Additionally, Dr. Baden Boan has been elected to the Mayflower Board, effective November 24, 2023. A respected retired General Practitioner, Dr. Boan is well-known within the Mayflower Brighton community, having served as the GP for many residents over the span of 30 years. Up until last year, Dr. Boan had been Partner at the New Street Medical Centre in Brighton since 1990. His appointment not only brings a wealth of experience in patient care but also signifies a strategic enhancement to the organisation's commitment to exemplary clinical governance.

Finally, Chris Reside has been unanimously re-elected as Deputy Chair. His ongoing dedication and collaborative leadership are certain to contribute significantly to the continued success and growth of Mayflower.
