We're moving forward with the redevelopment of the seniors living precinct at Highview Crescent. We invite you to register to receive regular updates and view the designs as they become available at the bottom of this page.
Site establishment works are underway, and demolition work will begin soon. You can find an update on the project stages below.
As you may know, the site has experienced some vandalism and trespassing. In response, we've increased security patrols at night. This week, we've added a dedicated on-site guard overnight to monitor the area and deter access breaches. Project update
Now that the project has received planning approval, the site is being prepared for construction. Site preparation works have started with installation of fencing around the site and utilities contractors making services safe. Conservation of the trees on the site is paramount. Tree protection zones will be set up for those trees that are to be retained, consistent with planning approval from Banyule City Council. Specialised contractors will contain the site and remove any hazardous materials before demolition commences in May.
