Ken’s “Life Really Begins at 80” Show Brings Magic and Memories.

Ken Keech, an 80+ year old magician, brought his show ‘Life Really Begins at 80’ to Mayflower Brighton, and what a show it was! Ken’s light comedic style had everyone laughing from start to finish.

The performance featured an array of classic magic tricks, from disappearing tables and floating magic tables to a magically appearing ball and chain, each one leaving the audience in awe and amusement.

Audience participation is what made the show really entertaining!

Residents eagerly volunteered to join Ken on stage, adding an extra layer of fun to the mind-reading trick. Our very own team member Mary was called up to be Ken’s magician’s apprentice, and she didn’t disappoint!

The magic didn’t stop there.

The event was complemented by a delicious afternoon tea, with our care team stepping in to serve and ensure residents felt extra special throughout the afternoon.

The show’s grand finale was a touching video where Ken reflected on all that his generation has endured and accomplished—from growing up during challenging times to surviving without the conveniences of modern life.

The video highlighted the resilience of his generation, reminding everyone that they are true survivors who have lived through remarkable times.
