A Better Visit - Dementia information for families and friends

Mayflower Brighton is pleased to announce we are hosting a dementia information session for families and friends of Mayflower residents living with dementia.

The information session will be presented by Dementia Australia and provide information, engagement techniques and support strategies.

The session will utilise Dementia Australia’s ‘A Better Visit’ app to assist you with connecting and communicating with your loved ones living with dementia on a fun and interactive level.

You will gain knowledge in:

• General information and facts about dementia and ways to have meaningful engagement with people living with dementia
• Practical strategies for having ‘A Better Visit’ with someone who has dementia and how using the A Better Visit app can help
• Dementia Australia’s services and support, and how they can help you

When: Wednesday, 26^th of February 2020

Time: 6.00-7.30pm

Where: Mayflower Brighton in the Harry Williams Room on level 1, 7 Centre Road, Brighton East.

There is no cost to attend this information session.
