The Power of Friendship and Volunteering at Mayflower
Meet Robin, Margot, Sue, and Mayflower Gift Shop Manager, Nicole, captured in this delightful photograph. Their journey began 25 years ago when they first crossed paths at Brighton Primary School, where their children started their school adventures.

United by the shared experience of raising children of similar ages, these incredible women forged a strong bond that has stood the test of time. Through the ups and downs of parenting and life, their friendship provided unwavering support and endless joy, strengthening their connection with each passing year.
When Nicole called for volunteers at Mayflower Brighton, these dedicated friends didn't hesitate to lend a hand. Inspired by compassion and a genuine desire to make a positive impact, they wholeheartedly embraced the opportunity to contribute to their community. Their unwavering commitment is a shining example of the countless volunteers who generously give their time and talents across Mayflower, and for that, we are immensely grateful.
Nicole summed it up perfectly when she said, "Volunteers make the Mayflower world go round. They truly make a big impact!" Her heartfelt words capture the deep gratitude and appreciation for those who selflessly work towards improving the lives of others.
Among this wonderful group of volunteers, Robin's mother, Shirley, now calls Mayflower Brighton her home. The presence of her daughter's long-time friends involved in the community adds an extra special touch to Shirley's experience, forging a meaningful connection between her family and her newfound residence.
Robin, Nicole, Margot, Sue, and Shirley's story is a testament to the strength of enduring bonds and the value of community. Their selfless dedication, unwavering support for one another, and their involvement as volunteers inspire us all.
As we reflect on their journey, let us remember the importance of nourishing deep connections and embracing the beauty of coming together as a community.
