Sisterly Love - when Family Come to Visit

Family visits play an important role in supporting the well-being of residents at Mayflower.

As Lillian, one of our lifestyle team members notes, "Visits from loved ones can help our residents feel more settled and happy, even when they may not recognise their visitor."

Family visits can also aid our caregivers in providing the best individualised care for residents. "When family members come and spend time with their loved ones, they can help us understand their needs, preferences, and history, which can help us tailor our care and make them feel more at home," Lillian adds.

We love to capture these special moments during family visits, and add a personal touch to the photos, as Lillian explains, "We always try to add something to the photos, like the hearts on their jumpers and a sign about sisterly love.”

One of our residents, Patricia, recently enjoyed a lovely visit with her sister, taking a walk in the garden and even sharing a playful pinch on the bottom, as shown with her cheeky grin in these heart-warming photos – at Mayflower Edith Bendall.

At Mayflower, we recognise the value of family visits in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. We encourage families to schedule visits and share in the joy of creating lasting memories with their loved ones.
