Mayflowers Winter Golf

It may be quite chilly in Melbourne this winter – but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a game or two of golf.

At Mayflower Reservoir we love to empower residents to take part in the activities they have enjoyed throughout their lives – or maybe even try something new – no matter the season.

Active games are a great way to keep fit, maintain mobility and balance, foster reminiscing and to nurture meaningful connections with others. Here are residents Donato and Giovanna, enjoying a game of indoor golf at Mayflower Reservoir.

Residents at Mayflower Reservoir recently enjoyed a modified game of golf, in their cosy lounge room.

Active games are a great way to keep fit, maintain mobility and balance, foster reminiscing and to nurture meaningful connections with others.

These games can also help you connect with others, no matter what language you speak – building a bridge between cultures.

As Ben Hogan, legendarily known as one of the finest golfers that ever played, once said “I have found the game to be, in all factualness, a universal language wherever I travelled at home or abroad.”

Our Brighton Community has also been enjoying outdoor games in the comfort of the indoors - with lawn bowls, pictured below.
