Each year on October 1st, Mayflower aged care stops to take a moment to love and appreciate the older people of our changing world.

October 1st marks the International day of older persons. the purpose of this day is to raise awareness of the challenges and opportunities of the aging population.

And, this year's theme is about celebrating the “Resilience of Older Persons in a Changing World.”

Mayflower are applauding all the older people in our communities, for their fearlessness over the past few years.

We loved seeing them take the pandemic in their stride - thinking of others, such as their loved ones before themselves.

And, we love how many learnt how to use tablets and smartphones, so they could still connect face-to-face with their loved ones.

Older people may be some of the most vulnerable people in our community, but they are also the most resilient.
