Each year at Christmas time, Mayflower retirement living residents at Brighton come together to celebrate the festive season.
This year was hosted by our recently appointed CEO, Stuart, along with a large contingent from the Mayflower’s corporate team who acted as waiters for the day.
A sumptuous lunch of roasted turkey and ham with apricot and honey, and tender braised beef in red wine followed by an assortment of Christmas favourites for dessert, was prepared by our very own chef Yaz. The meal was capped off with a lovely drop or two of wine.
Residents loved meeting Stuart, who welcomed everyone to the event, before visiting each table for a chat.
"I really appreciate the warm welcome I have received from everyone at Mayflower," says Stuart. "I can see it’s a special place, with a strong sense of community, and I am looking forward to getting to know you all in the coming months."
Celebrations like these are a great way for residents to get to know their neighbours, and the Mayflower team, meeting new friends along the way.
