In an event that is sure to become regular fixture on the Mayflower calendar, our fashionable ladies viewed the Spring/Summer collection from Creswick Woollen Mills.

Residents from Mayflower Brighton aged care and our independent living units enjoyed a lovely morning being chauffeured to the Creswick Hawthorn store to view the latest collection of natural fibre garments for the season.

Founded in 1947 by Polish migrant, Paul Ryzowy, Creswick Woollen Mills is now the only coloured woollen spinning mill of its type in Australia. Some of Creswick Woollen Mills’ luxurious products manufactured here in Australia include Alpaca throws, blankets and accessories woven into sophisticated modern designs. Natural fibre products designed by Creswick for optimum comfort include merino, cashmere, cotton and bamboo.

The ladies cast a discerning eye over the fabrics and garments and were suitably impressed by the quality and styles of the new season collection.

The team at Creswick were perfect hosts sharing fashion hints, accessorising tips and discussing some of the colour trends for the new season during the fashion parade.

A wonderful morning tea of petit fours and refreshing beverages was served, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Tricia Bowden was the delighted lucky door prize winner of a soft wool wrap, compliments of Creswick.

After a pleasurable morning of shopping, the ladies were chauffeured back to Mayflower, amid discussions of returning for the much-anticipated Winter collection showcase.
